TMU’s Two Campuses in Shuangho and Xinyi Earns Multiple ISO Certifications for Applying Sustainable Systems

Since TMU officially signed an MOU of sustainable development initiative with TAISE (Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy) in 2022, TMU has been thoroughly renovating facilities and administrative procedures within campuses of Shuangho and Xinyi to corporate sustainability and realize its social responsibility.

AFNOR Asia Ltd. scrutinized TMU’s two campuses as the third party for ISO certification for three days.

TMU’s efforts have borne fruit by earning certifications of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in June 2023. Both certifications are related to authentic environmental management systems and occupational health and safety management for TMU’s two campuses. Jan-Show Chu, Executive Vice President of TMU, emphasized TMU’s commitment to addressing increasing challenges including climate change, resource depletion, and pollution while fulfilling its social responsibility as a medical university by ensuring healthy and safe working and learning environments. Earning the ISO certifications serves not only as an official recognition but also as an assurance that TMU is on the right path toward a sustainable future.
